Seeking a warm & friendly individual to join our small but busy family business at our Charleston shop at South Windermere Center.
Role: Part Time Shop Assistant
Hours: 15 - 20 Hours per week, 2-3 days a week with occasional weekends as needed. (We can be flexible for the right candidate.)
Start Date: May 2, 2022
Ideal Candidate:
Must have welcoming, approachable demeanor, and be a self-starter who loves to organize and solve problems. Being a retail home furnishing shop this will be a physical “on your feet & on the move” position. Daily tasks will vary, for example: customer service, ringing up sales, gift wrapping, filing, dusting, polishing, unpacking shipments & helping owner to move merchandise. Applicants should be comfortable lifting 40-50 lbs and team lifting heavier objects. Good & competent IT skills (spreadsheets, emailing with attachments, iPhone photography) are needed as well as excellent communication skills when engaging with clients, carriers, colleagues, & neighbors.
Lastly, an eye for design and appreciation for antique furnishings, art & interiors is desirable, but is not essential.
